Quick Measures​

No Menus. Just Measurements.

Ruler

Once you've activated the Quick Measure tool, left click once to set your first point. Move the mouse to your end position and left click once more to set your end point.

Protractor

After you've set your first point, the quick measure tool can be transformed into a protractor. Move the mouse to where you want to start measuring your angle and right click to set your second point. Move the mouse to measure your angle and left click to set the third point.

An‍‍‍gle Snapping

Once Quick Measures is active, hold Ctrl/Command to make the tool snap to discreet angles. Snap angle is determined by Unity's built in angle snap settings.

Screen Space Tools

Transform objects in screen space.

Alt / Option + X

Use the menu option or hotkeys to toggle the screen space tools on and off. While active, the Move and Rotate tools will always face the editor camera. Turn Screen Space Tools off via their menu option/ hotkey, or by using Unity's editor button or hotkeys that switch the transform tools between world and local space.

Orientation Gizmo

Fresh perspectives for fancy work.

The Orientation Gizmo works exactly like the one built into Unity, but it matches the rotation of the object you have selected. There are also two additional controls for rotating your view clockwise and counter-clockwise by 90°. If multiple objects are selected, it uses the active transform (the object being displayed in the inspector). Activate/ deactivate the Orientation Gizmo from its Menu Option.

Create Empty Parent

Group objects in one operation.

Alt / Option + N

Select the object(s) you want to make a parent object for and use the menu item or hotkeys to create a new object and parent your selection in one go.

Batch Replace

Update outdated objects instantly.

Open the Batch Replace Wizard and add the objects you want to replace to the ‘Objects to Replace’ list. Choose the object you want to replace them with then hit ‘Replace’. Batch replace lets you decide if you want to match the rotation or scale of the objects you’re replacing and has undo/ redo support.

Navigation Shortcuts

Switch views subconsciously.

Keypad 1 - 8

Press 1 to switch between Front and Back views. 

Press 3 to switch between Left and Right views. 

Press 7 to switch to between Top and Bottom views.

Use 2, 4, 6, and 8 to orbit the scene camera up, down, left, and right around the camera's focus point.

Press 5 to switch between Orthographic and Perspective scene view projections.

Deselect All

Fuss free deselection.

Ctrl / Command + Shift + A

Just use the menu option or hotkeys to deselect anything you have selected in the hierarchy or project window.
